Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the main techniques used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for more than 3,000 years. Through the insertion of very thin needles into your skin and muscles, the goal of this dynamic and integrated health care system is to activate the natural, self-healing abilities of the body. It can also strengthen and support the body to prevent future illness and disease. When treating pain, the needles help to remove the inflammation, relax the contracted muscles, improve the blood flow and lymphatic circulation.

Electro Acupuncture

Electro acupuncture is effective in various conditions, such as neurological disorders, pain and spasms in the muscles, acute nausea caused by cancer medications and more. There is also some evidence that electrical stimulation of acupuncture points activates the endorphin system, which could lower blood pressure and reduce heart disease. The placement of needles are the same as traditional acupuncture,  the needles are then attached to a device that generates continuous electric pauses using small clips. The intensity and frequency are adjusted and delivered depending on the dentition being treated.

Acupressure and Massage

This therapeutic technique is based on the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine that uses finger pressure to mobilize Qi at specific spots (same as acupuncture points). This is ideal for people who are sensitive to needles. We also specialize in Myofascial release through the use of trigger point.

Cupping

Another popular TCM modality which involves placement of suctioning cups on the surface of the skin. It increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue. Both Cupping and Gua Sha are great for breaking muscle adhesion.

Gua Sha

This ancient Chinese healing technique offers a unique approach to better health, addressing issues like chronic pain. It uses a smooth-edged instrument to scrape on the skin repeatedly in short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow. This technique is great for clearing stagnated Qi (energy), in order to reduce inflammation and promote healing.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

As part of the TCM system, Chinese herbal medicine also has a long historical tradition. Chinese herbal medicines treat the underling causes of illness rather than individual symptoms. A formula of different loose herbs made into a potion that tailored specifically to the individual according to the complex principles of TCM. We have loose raw herbs, patterned herbal pills and herbal powders.
